Swollen
This morning, when I woke up, we found my leg and knee to be extremely swollen and full of fluid. As a result, I’m staying in bed for the day, in hopes that the swelling comes down. I believe they’re going to let the Dr. know as well. Seems like it’s always something! Nothing can ever go smoothly without a hiccup or two along the way. Such is life.
I’ll keep you posted of any changes. Thank you all so much for following! I appreciate your interest!

Stitches removal, or not!!!
I went to the doctors for a follow-up to my foot surgery. It was my understanding that they were going to remove stitches at today’s appointment. Not so much. They said the instructions advise that the stitches should be removed three weeks after surgery. This is week two, so I’m not 100% sure of the reason for today’s appointment if they’re just going to see me in another week. Over and done with at this point so it doesn’t really matter but wow, not handled well by the doctor’s office. It got me out to enjoy the beautiful weather, so that makes it all worth it. Plus I got to see my mom and Heather, always a bonus!
New playlist! Check it out!
I know I’m kind of biased but this is one of the best play list that I’ve made a long time! If you have Amazon music I encourage you to check it out! 🙂

Break!
In July 2024 I was getting range of motion and stretching my legs when the aide overextended one of them and we heard a pop. After some pain and discomfort it was eventually communicated to the nurse and I was sent to the hospital for an xray. Please see attached. They determined that my hip was in fact broken but there wasn’t anything they could do. I had a follow-up appointment with a Dr. last week and I got another xray. They said it actually looks worse now, regarding the separation, but there’s not much they can do given my situation. They gave me the OK to ride my bike again, which totally and pleasantly surprised me! I miss riding so much. The last time I did it was in July. It’s been a while! It’s really the only range of motion I get on my legs. I’m now waiting for the doctors here at my home to give the final OK before I start. I can’t wait for the day to come that I will be able to ride once again! It’s coming soon! I hope.

Here’s a picture of my latest painting. I got the idea from something I saw on the Internet. Green is the color for spinal cord awareness. I filled in the third and fourth vertebrae because that’s where my injury is located. Just a fun (not really!) tid-bit about my newest piece of artwork!
A special thanks to my mom for helping me and having ALOT of patience! Much appreciated! ![]()
