Are you ready for some football?!

It was a so/so weekend for football. Friday night Middletown & Elizabethtown High School’s won their games. However on Saturday Penn State laid an egg. Today we watched football at Magee. Chiefs vs. Eagles, and although our Chiefs never really showed up, lots of friends and family did, and we enjoyed watching the game together. Unfortunately the Steelers (Aaron’s 2nd favorite team) lost as well. The day did end on a positive note however as Aaron’s fantasy football team locked up another win to go to 3-0.

Aaron spent 25 & 30 minutes off his vent today, which although he didn’t increase his total time, the time off was less stressful, his stats remained at an excellent level, and he didn’t get wiped out and take a nap afterward like he usually does. His stamina & confidence while off of the vent continues to build.

Jermaine is a resident of Magee that we have had the pleasure of getting to know. He always has words of encouragement for Aaron and us. He is moving on to a facility closer to his home in Easton tomorrow. We wish you the best; you’re in our prayers Jermaine.

Had no idea you are a KC Chiefs fan. You would fit right in here in our neighborhood! We always know when the Chiefs start up a new season because we can hear our neighbors yelling from their garage. Yes I said garage. They have a mini livingroom set up out there and all the neighbors go and watch the game. Keep up the hard work we are praying for you!

    Much Love,
Jim, Susan, Kayla, Lauren, and Regan Snyder

    Hi Bud,

I am thankful to hear the positive news about you and the ventilator. I know you are going to beat that thing. I want it to be NOW and I know you want that more than anyone, but I also know that things happen in God’s time. Keep trying to be positive, I have nothing but positive thoughts about this whole situation. I love reading your mom’s blogs..I love how she calls you “honey”. There isn’t anything like a mom’s love for her son and I am so thankful you have her. Have a good day!! Love you!!

Aaron, I shared your blog with my eighth graders today and they were moved. They are all rooting for you and your strength and determination has made an impact on them. They loved you saying at the top. My boys noticed the Chiefs shirt right away. Good role models come in all shapes and sizes. Take care and keep up the hard work. We will be in touch soon. Aaron, It is great to here all the progress you are making. Keep up the good work buddy. Yeah it was not a great day for football. Maybe next week. Your doing great.

Hey Aaron – whoa – where did the beard and mop-on-top go??? We were sorta diggin’ that Grizzly Adams (er, Grizzly Aaron) look! Well, you’re still the second-handsomest twenty-something guy we know (you didn’t really think we’d put ERIC in second place, did you? of course, a little dose of humility would do HIM good – but that’s another story…) We’re so glad to hear about your recent successes (NON-pureed pizza, vacations from the vent, tilting on the table and, er, bowel buzzings?? sorry!) Our entire church congregation, plus lots of friends, neighbors and business colleagues are praying, praying, praying – God’s answering machine must be filled to overflowing! Keep your chin, your spirits and your faith UP UP UP, Aaron. We love you lots!

Dude it was a horrible week for football…for all of us. Virginia Tech spanked Miami…I don’t know if you saw that. Keep up the hard work being off the vent buddy…I realize it can be tough. But you’re a tough dude! Keep working brother…Love ya!

P.S. Jermaine, good luck to you.

    hey aaron,
i was pulling for the chiefs on that game cause i dislike the eagles too. And, i was totally bummed about the steelers in the last minute yesterday…i miss polamalu! 🙂 i’m glad you are doing well in your fantasy team, although i do have to deal with bill and his luck with his team, that is not a fun thing for me 🙂

Have a good day today buddy!
    Love you.

    Hi Aaron,

Sorry your Chiefs didn’t win. Of course Joe said his Redskins were probably the laughing stock of the NFL.

I’m so happy to hear about your improvements and think of you every day. We got you covered for the Lottery in case noone told you. If we hit you’ll be rich with the rest of us!!!

Hang in there and keep up the good work! My prayers are always with you.

    Love Ya!

    Carol

While my face (and Aunt Deb’s, Pap’s, Uncle Charlie’s and Erin Kelli’s) do not appear in this photograph, we were also in attendance at this very exciting football/rehab extravaganza. As were Jaime’s parents, Sue and Carl. And we were all proud of YOUR “game”, Aaron. I was so happy to see you less fatigued after being off the vent, that’s a step in the right direction! Keep it up, honey. See you tomorrow. I love you.

    Yo Ma
