New Record!

Every Wednesday in group therepy at 11:00 a.m.  they set goals for the coming week.  Today Aaron set his goal of being off of the vent for 1 hour & 30 minutes by next Wednesday. By 4:30 he shattered his goal.  Aaron did 2 hours and 4 minutes off the vent today, AND he didn’t sleep afterward! Woo-hoo! Go Aaron! 🙂 Oh yeah, and that was 2 hours straight, not broken up into  20 minutes here and there!

Hi Aaron YOu sure are an amazing young man!!! Congratulations on all you are accomplishing. I am so proud of you. Again today at the grocery store I talked to people whose first question is “How is Aaron doing?”. I am tickled to be able to tell everyone who asks–He is having good days and now I can say the many things you are accomplishing. Keep up the good work. LOve you a whole bunch. Mammaw and Pappaw

Hi Aaron, I check your blog almost every day and it is so great to be able to see pictures of you and hear about your progress. Two hours off of the vent today is so great, seems like just a few weeks ago we were reading about what an accomplishment 30 minutes was and look how far you’ve come! We all miss you so much at work, we update each other on your progress as we read about it and often remind each other to pray for you. I miss seeing your smiling face saying hello to me everyday in the hall, please get well and hurry back to your Crump family soon. I know you probably hear this a lot but if there is anything I can do for you and your family during this time please let me know, I sincerely mean it, feel free to have them contact me at work. Take Care, Andrea

P.S. Sorry my Ravens beat your Chiefs so badly in the season opener 😉

Well Aaron, It sounds like Your’ hard work continues to slowly pay off. Unlike the chair(wheeled), you continue to make a straight on beeline to the weeds along lifes twisting trail where you are gonna toss that vent. (and I would say sooner than most may think!)
I find myself taking some inspiration from you and your’ tough journey to begin deleting the procrastination in my life and start moving forward on some things that I have become way to comfortable to move forward on. I Thank You for that Chief….

Laughed my butt off when I pictured you spinning in circles in the hall in your new wheels! I’m glad you got a kick out of it too. It made my day yesterday reading that, a good laugh is good for the soul!

    Good morning Bud!

I sit here and I am amazed, happy, proud, but not surprised. I’ve known you a long time and it has taken this tragedy for me to see the “real” Aaron. I never knew the real Aaron was such a fighter, my Aaron was always so sweet, kind, loving and laid back around me. I am glad to see the real you. I know that between the real you, God, family, Jaime, friends and Magee you are going to keep amazing us. This news has made my day and I will be smiling all day long. I praise God for this blessing and I pray he keeps on blessing you. Love you!

  • Erin, Nate, and Betsy

Love you, Ernie! We are very proud of you! You keep getting stronger and stronger! We are praying for you all the time. Keep up the excellent work, you can do this! Love you, Erin Kelli

  • Danielle

Wow Aaron! You are doing a great job and you constantly amaze us with your progress.
    Keep it coming!!

    Love you.

  • Luke Songer

Aaron, Glad I was able to make it down. I pray for you every day. Make sure that guy gave you back the movie “How I met your Mother.” That was funny as he…llo there. I was confused at first then laughing afterwords. Make sure you and Jamie watch the “DC, Volume II.” Make sure no one else gets a hold of it. So glad to hear you did 2 hours. Are we shooting for 3 by next Wednesday? Or are we going for 4. Whatever you set your mind to you can achieve! I love you and so does Shannon and Mr. Big Biggs. (AKA Pierce, not Pierre)
Be Back to see you soon.

    Love,

    Luke

I KNEW you could do it, honey. Must have been all those Twizzlers we ate Tuesdau night, huh? Or maybe the pineapple juice? Whatever it was, it worked! Sam and I will be there early tomorrow morning. Sleep tight, I’ll see you soon.

    Love,

    Mom

Awesome job Aaron! Keep getting that time to increase more and more and you’ll be setting yourself a new record EVERY day! You should feel so proud of yourself, you know we’re all so proud of you and ALL of your amazing accomplishments! I also wanted to let you know the fundraiser is coming along great. You have so many people who love you and who have been touched by your story. We’ll never know what you go through on a daily basis and the challenges you have to face, but for any doubt or sadness you may feel please know that there’s twice as many positive thoughts and prayers being sent your way. Rely on the power of prayer for yourself, too. It’s amazing what you can get off your chest when no one is listening but Him. You are amazing and inspiring. I think about you and all the laughs in High School constantly, and it always brings a smile to my face. I hope Nate and I can come see you soon and we can have some more stuff to laugh about .. more mature, wiser stuff since we’re so much older and more sophisticated (pffft, yeah right). The jokes and laughs will be lame as they always were, but I look forward to it. You’ll get through this, and will be walking out of Magee. I love ya so much! And I know we’ve never met, but I love you too Jaime. You’re one amazing girl!! Ok, I’m rambling…. I’m done. Keep up all the awesome work… P.S. — Sorry my Eagles beat your team last week, better luck next year 😉

  • Bill

    Aaron,

That’s awesome!!! Keep doing what your doing!!! Danielle and I are coming home in 3 weeks. We aren’t leaving until Monday so I will be able to join you for Football on Sunday. Vikings play the Steelers that day so I hope you won’t be offended by the purple Favre jersey I plan on wearing.

    Love you bro,
    Bill
