Holiday Happenings

Hello Everyone. Sorry for the long silence. We have been very busy the past couple of weeks with getting into the swing of things at home and the upcoming holidays. Aaron is doing quite well. He is enjoying home cooked food and getting stronger every day. We are working in conjunction with Lehigh Valley Respiratory to continue the process of weaning Aaron from the vent. He is doing much better with the spirometer which is an instrument that measures the strength of his breaths. In the past few days he has spent several hours each day on just room air (no vent, no oxygen) and has done quite well.

Aaron, Jaime, & Tory went Christmas shopping at Target last week and had lots of fun. Aaron also did some shopping a couple of days ago without Jaime!  😉  Aaron, Jaime, & Tory will be leaving for Malvern today to spend Christmas Eve with Sue and Carl and family. Please keep them in your prayers as the weather could be a bit of a challenge. They will be returning Christmas day (weather perrmiting) to celebrate with his Dad’s family and Sunday they will be celebrating with his Mom’s family.

Aaron has his initial evaluation at Kennedy-Krieger on January 11th. For Aaron and his family, it can’t come soon enough, but we are all very excited and can’t wait to get to work at some aggressive physical therapies. Aaron is especially ready to get to work!

We will try to do better at keeping all of you up to date. We so appreciate all your support and prayers. Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year! It is good to hear you are still full of life and getting to do some things that we all take for granted. We will definitely plan to visit. We usually try to plan a meal with Woody & Gina after the Holidays and it has been very busy. I’ll send them a note and make the plans. I hope you can join us. We have been praying that God will heal you fully! Keep up the good work!

Deb, Denise, Bill and all of Aaron’s family,

I just want to say that I read Deb’s blog and it touched me. (again) lol I am so so thankful that Aaron has all of you guys. I love him and I can’t express how much it means to me to see how much love and support all of you guys give him. You all have given him everything he needs. You guys aren an example of the true meaning of family. I am thankful for all the support you all have given Diane and Greg also. I praise God for that. I’m sure that your mom is watching down on you all and is so proud to say “that’s my family”. I will keep you all in my prayers and I pray that you all are blessed in 2010. I want to say again you all are an inspiration to me.

Dear Ern, Jamie, and Tori, I hope that you have a safe trip and a very Happy New Year. This is a good time to reflect on all the blessings that God has given to you and this family. I know that this storm you are going through is rough, but it will make you the person that you can be. It will help you grow in your faith and strength. So let it happen. Count your blessings and remember that the sun always comes out after the storm. Also remember that you have such great support in your Mom, Dad and Gina and all the rest of us who love you so much and will be with you through it all. Just remember you can give all your problems to Jesus. He will alwalys be there for you. Love Aunt Deb

Hey buddy, I was hoping to get to see you over Christmas, but things clearly kind of fell through. I hope that Manta was good to you (I think you know what he generally has loaded on his sleigh!), and I’ll definitely be over next time I’m home. Miss you brother, and hope the New Year brings many rad things.

    Hi Favorite Cousin Aaron,

Merry Christmas to all there in PA. We are in Michigan thinking about you guys and wish we could come and visit soon. 2009 was a tough one for you and lots of folks but 2010 is the year of transition. You are an extremely strong and vital man with excellent resources for physical therapy. The harder we work the luckier we get…that includes physical therapy. You can make great strides.

Know that we are thinking about you and sending you good thought.

    Your favorite cousin,

    Jim

  • Chris Robinson

Merry Christmas Aaron, Jaime, Tory and families! I know this year has been a tough one, but I do try to be positive and think how blessed you all are to have each other. You guys have brought so many people together doing positive and good things, it is so touching to see. You all are so loved! With all the bad things going on in the world, it is so wonderful so see such blessings in our little community and also all around the country. Aaron, I bet you never knew how much you are loved!!!! We don’t always get the opportunity to see this when things are going good. Sometimes, no matter how tough it is God allows us to go through these tragedies and tough times just so all the good things can be seen. I know that is how it was for me. I pray you enjoy your time with Jaime’s family, (I’m sure you will, they sound like great people). I will be praying for safe travels and I pray you have a blessed holiday and that God gives you all the peace you deserve during this holiday season. Rest and relax because I know come January you will be raady to work hard and your family and loved ones will be ready to work hard right by your side. I love you and think of you every day! God bless you all!!! You are all an inspiration to me.
