We’re Back……

Greetings All.

Sorry for the time between entries. Aaron has been busy working at getting stronger breathing on his own to prepare for his intense week at Kennedy/Krieger. (More on that later)

Today was his first day of rehab at Hershey. He will be rehabbing twice a week there so he will be in tip top shape come March 1st. He got to do the standing machine for 40 minutes today. It is a piece of equipment that gradually takes him from a sitting to a standing position. He really enjoyed it and was ready to do it again but will have to wait until next week.

Aaron continues to be out and about for appointments, b-ball games, shopping, and dinners out. He, Jamie, Gina, & I went to Rockwell’s the other Saturday and had to wait for over 1.5 hours. We got a free Rhino Tour for our trouble. Went to Smokey Bones the next day but no freebies since we got seated right away.

Keep checking the site as info concerning several fund raisers will be coming soon. Basket Bingo @ the E-town American Legion on 3/20 & a golf tournament in June.

And now the big news………Cousin Chuck from Montana are you ready for this? Aaron has been off of the vent completely for 4 days…..day & night. Look out weeds here it comes. Next step is to get rid of the trach. Chuck…..where do you suggest we toss it?

Gina will be adding pictures to this post later so check back.

Keep on praying

Woody&Aaron: Where are the vent weeds indeed! Truth is, Mr. Aaron,You,knowingly or not, decided some time ago where the infernal vent was gonna colloquially go. It is in those weeds you will find it. Aaron, I respect the sheer strength and will you have shown SO FAR in this battle. My respect comes as much from your’ will to put things as right as you can for yourself as (and mabey more importantly) , to put things right for Your’ Lovely Lady Jamee, the cool little spitfire Tory, and the Family and Friends(and it would appear you have copious amounts of REAL ones), that count on You to be a part of their world. Probably a little selfish on our’ own parts, but it matters that you are fired up and a part of Their/Our’ worlds. Guess it could be worse, They /we could not give a such n’ such… But alas, ya just had to be a decent guy.
Follow lifes trail and as you reach various forks, bends, etc. with those that are with you, you will find many patches of weeds and other vegetation in which to toss the various incumbrunces as you continue to whip hiney. I’ve got your’ back man, and if you decide to PHYSICALLY toss the vent or anything else that you no longer need in Montana or mabey the Alaskan Interior Outback, you need only write, call, wish. (Your’Aunt Missy can always help you contact me as can Curt and mabey Gina–Oh!–Hello Alexis!) We will put it or the others where you want.
Rock on Guys, and know we have your’ back.

Aaron, I loved seeing you “stand” today during your PT. It was wonderful to see you having to look DOWN to see my face rather than UP from your wheelchair. And I know you loved standing. I’m excited that you are going to continue to do this during therapy!!! Just one of many great things you have to look forward to! Hang in there, honey. Things are going to start happening for you, I feel it!!!!

    I love you!

    Mom
