Monday at Magee

Aaron was still a little under the weather today, but did manage to do about 3 hours off the vent anyway. He really seems to have gotten over his fear and apprehension about being off the vent; he just needs to get past whatever bug he’s  battling now so he can make greater progress. 🙂 Isaiah and Mandie  stopped by for a while in the early afternoon :), he got to ride the hand stim bike which he always likes to do, watched a little baseball, and wrapped up the afternoon with an appetizer from the Olive Garden. 🙂

    Good morning Bud!

I just read your mom’s update 101/2 hours!!!! That is wonderful news. Good for you. Just remember on those days that you don’t have those record breaking numbers that God has a reason. Your body is still healing and maybe it just needs that break, so it can heal in other ways. So stay encouraged even on those days when you can’t do as much as you want or as much as you did the day before. You are doing a great job, you are a fighter and I am so proud of you. Love you!

Micah just bombed me with quite a few paperclips it made me think of you. Also, I was thinking maybe you could have a boombox duct-taped to your chair so that when you ride the hallways you could play the riding dirty song. This is just one of the genius ideas that I have come up with today. Mmmm Olive Garden. So much better than your soup diet. I hope to see you soon. I’ll pray that you are back to feeling a ok so that there is no one telling you that you have to go back on the vent.

    Love,
    Shan

I’m glad Aaron got to enjoy your Olive Garden trip Greg & Gina, unlike me who had to leave : ( ..another time for sure!! Aaron, you are amazing! Your breathing stats were horrible and you REFUSED to be put back on that darn vent and it came to point where they made you. Good for you!! I’m so prou of you and know you’ll be off it before long for good! I love you and can’t wait to see you later! Isaiah and Mandie, it was great meeting you : )
