May 5, 2010

Good evening!  Sorry but I’m not putting up a post tonight.  I do have good news though.  I had my doctor’s appointment with my Physician at Kennedy Krieger, Dr. Receico.  He did a follow-up with me and wanted to check on my progress, if there had been any.  Turns out, there was a lot!  Within the two months that I was last at Kennedy, I’ve regained a lot of sensation and feeling below my level of injury (C3-C4).  He was very pleased with what he saw and used the word “wow” quite a bit!  Actually, today I received some of the best news yet during my recovery.  I’ve been upgraded from Asia B to Asia C!  To those of you not familiar with what this means, please reference the following link – http://www.sci-info-pages.com/levels.html.  The Asia scale is towards the bottom of the page, which will explain what this progress means.  I’m super excited about it and it’s made my great week so far, even better!

Thanks again for all your prayers and good thoughts that you send my way!  They’re paying off.

Aaron

That is awesome news Aaron Keep it up. Thoughts and prayers are with you everyday. I’m going to have to give some money back to the County for checking your blog everyday at work.

Aaron, that is the best news ever!!! I am so happy for you. Perservance is the name of the game….plus lots of prayers too, but we are so proud that you never lose heart & you keep going strong. I was really glad you “wrote” today ’cause I couldn’t bring up the webcams you’ve been sending & I’ve been so disappointed that I couldn’t see what was going on. Have a great weekend & may the week ahead be guided by optimism & hard work. We’ll do our part by lifting you up each day in prayer.
    Love ya,
    Nana & Rye
